Picture Summer Day 4: Traditions
This photo is a little rough, but to me it embodies the best tradition of Independence Day. I grew up in a part of California where fireworks became more restricted every year until all that was left were the public displays. Then I moved to Texas, where we have fireworks that I never could have fathomed when I was in California.

Such a cool picture! Have fun with your new camera!
Your picture reminds me of many a July 4th as a child when we could still have our own fireworks show in front of our home & play with Sparklers - oh, how I LOVED Sparklers! And the fountains, and the "snakes" that seemed to magically come out of the concrete! I miss those days, sometimes (sigh). I'm happy that you're able to have this tradition back where you live and share it with your family and friends.
Cool pic there with your new cool camera!
