Wow! April, those designs are amazing! You did those with the Cricut? I just do not know how to use mine very well...how did you learn, just trial and error?
Thanks, Julie.
I have had my Cricut for a LONG time (I got it for Christmas the year they came out) so a lot of it was trial and error but NOW that I have the Design Studio software it is SO much easier to know what I am going to get!
I used to sell Close To My Heart scrapbook & stamping supplies and I use a LOT of their designs as a jumping off point. Either stuff out of catalogs, the website or the design books they put out (don't know how I made anything before they came out with those!) I usually end up adapting & changing things, but I seldom start out completely with a blank page from scratch.
I spent a LOT of time on the Cricut Message board & various other art yahoo groups, looking at what other people had done and noting to myself what worked and what didn't (such as nearly EVERYTHING looks better with a black shadow layer behind it.) And most of the projects are a regular card or scrapbook project with a Cricut created element used to embelish the page.
